Three poems by Bob Arnold
from the 'all wind and sunshine' issue of island

WHAT SHE WEARS

Where I am
The day is so utterly beautiful

All wind and sunshine
A dress could be sewn from it

And what do you know, I'm alone
But not for long

EDGE OF LAND

What over takes me more -

The blue of the sea or her dress

Raised, wading, high above her knees

TODAY

3 days since we've been to the sea -

But there again

When I kiss her hair
